FASTSIGNS International, Inc. Names Vice President of Creative Services
Carrollton, Texas - Carrollton, Texas based-FASTSIGNS International, Inc., a sign and graphics franchisor with over 525 locations worldwide, has named Chris Brooks vice president of creative services. In addition, Brian Wieters has been promoted to director of franchise development and Stephen Bigelow has been promoted to director of operations.
Chris Brooks joined FASTSIGNS in 1993. He most recently served as the director of advertising and creative services, where he has been responsible for all creative aspects of promoting the FASTSIGNS brand, from television spots to convention design and all of the FASTSIGNS marketing materials in four countries. In the new position of vice president of creative services, Brooks will ensure that FASTSIGNS stays aware and ahead of the changes in creative options that digital and emerging media are providing, while continuing to integrate our marketing message across countries and through intra-departmental programs.
“Chris is a creative thinker who completely comprehends our marketing needs,” said Drue Townsend, senior vice president of marketing for FASTSIGNS International, Inc. “He understands the nuances of working in a franchise system and provides great value to our centers collectively, and as needed, individually.”
Prior to joining FASTSIGNS, Brooks owned his own design studio, Brooks Design, where he specialized in packaging and point-of-purchase displays for Dallas area companies like Frito-Lay and JCPenney. He resides in Frisco, TX with his wife Stephanie and four children.
Brian Wieters has been promoted to director of franchise development. He joined FASTSIGNS in 2001 as a franchise sales consultant, and was promoted in 2007 to senior franchise sales consultant, handling new store sales and resales along with the franchise advertising budgets for the Western and Midwest regions of the United States and Canada.
As the director of franchise development, Wieters will interact with all new center sales consultants in a mentor role, helping to move prospects along. He will also take a more active role in Canadian development, including advertising and lead generation.
“Brian has been a solid contributor to the success of FASTSIGNS and of our franchisees,” said Bill McPherson, CFE, vice president, domestic franchise development for FASTSIGNS International, Inc. “In 2007 alone, he signed 15 new franchisees to the FASTSIGNS network and has the proven expertise to help our franchise system succeed and grow internationally.”
Prior to joining FASTSIGNS, Wieters spent four years with Schlotzsky’s Deli and nine years with Baskin-Robbins/Dunkin’Donuts in operations and development. He received his BA from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. He resides in Dallas with his wife and three children.
Stephen Bigelow joined FASTSIGNS in 2006 as a franchise business consultant, directly supporting a portion of the Western region of FASTSIGNS’ domestic franchise locations. In his new role as the director of operations, Bigelow is now fully responsible for the operations support of the Western region, and will have four franchise business consultants who report to him.
“Though he’s been with us for only one year, Stephen brought a great deal of previous franchise relationship and support experience with him when he joined FASTSIGNS,” said Trent Lensch, vice president of operations at FASTSIGNS. “He proved himself to be a very effective member as a franchise business consultant, developing strong relationships with his franchisees and helping them improve their businesses.”
Prior to joining FASTSIGNS, Bigelow was employed with 7-Eleven Inc. holding positions as franchise field consultant, loss prevention manager and corporate field consultant. He resides in Keller, TX with his wife and two children.
