iccprint 6 ­ Color & Print Management Software

Cibercat together with Inèdit Software and Tschudi Technology present their new RIP development for large-format printing and cutting: iccprint ­ Color & Print Management Software.

iccprint contains all major drivers from large-format printers such as Epson, HP, Roland, Mimaki, Mutoh, Graphtec. DGI, Encad, etc. The highlight of iccprint is the hueman color management engine that allows printing with ICC RGB printer profiles, delivering a much bigger color gamut than other RIPs working with CMYK. With hueman now it’s possible to print any real RGB image to up to 12 printer colors.

iccprint delivers highest color matching covering 90% of Pantone colors and maintaining neutral grays without any color dominant. The ICC RGB printer profile can be used for softproofing and in-gamut color correction in various image processing software as well as for more profound monitor calibration.

Thanks to the new color management system ink consumption is saved up to 30%. iccprint supports mostly used image formats and also PostScript formats such as EPS, PDF, AI, DCS. PostScript data contains different kind of objects which all be controlled in an optimal and independent way. The designs can then be nested automatically to save material.

iccprint calculates scaling and editing functions with maximum quality. The color correction algorythm and the various raster methods create the best result ready to send it to the large-format printer or cutting plotter.

iccprint contains tiling functions to divide very large designs into various panels and automatically proposes the maximum media size in the printer. Furthermore iccprint provides powerful editing tools such as cropping, copies, auto-numbering, color simulation and color proofing.

Amongst the newest functions the color replacement tool can be used to modify colors in the design. Any color can be substituted with an RGB, CMYK, LAB or device color or even measured with a spectrophotometer to get best color matching (Pick&Print). Very special functions allow generating contours for printing and cutting plotters, to create color libraries or to output the ink consumption in order to provide a real cost analysis.
