LORD Corporation Announces Growing List of UL Approved Adhesives
Cary, N.C. - LORD Corporation a pioneer in specialty structural adhesives, polyurethane coatings as well as electronic, vibration and noise control solutions has announced a variety of adhesives for sign bonding applications approved by Underwriters Laboratories (UL).
According to Yoshihiro Yamaguchi, Marketing Manager for LORD Industrial Assembly and Components, structural adhesives have proven to be a growing alternative to welding and traditional mechanical fasteners for the sign industry. However, a third-party testing organization’s listing mark is required on most sign assemblies in order to comply with the National Electric Code guidelines and local ordinances. As such, LORD Corporation obtained recognition of several LORD adhesives from UL. The adhesives were tested in accordance with the requirements from the following standards.
With headquarters in Cary, N.C., and sales in excess of $700-MM, LORD Corporation is a privately-held company that designs, manufactures and markets devices and systems to manage mechanical motion and control noise and vibration; formulates, produces and sells general purpose and specialty adhesives and coatings; and develops products and systems utilizing magnetically responsive technologies. With manufacturing in eight countries and offices in more than 15 major business centers, LORD Corporation employs more than 2,400 worldwide. Visit www.lord.com for more information.
