PDAA, Inc. Announces WrapQuest ‘08
PDAA’s WrapQuest ’08 will be collocated with the SGIA ’08 trade show, October 15-18, 2008 in the lobby of the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
JACKSONVILLE, FLA. - The PDAA is excited about bringing WrapQuest to SGIA ’08. Last year, WrapQuest ’07 was the premier vehicle wrapping event of the year. WrapQuest ’08 promises to be bigger and better.
Graphic installers are invited to explore the exciting world of vehicle wraps at WrapQuest ’08. The event will include five demonstrations daily, one for each of the vinyl manufacturing sponsors: Arlon, Avery, LG Chem, MACtac and Oracal. Nine of the PDAA’s best Master Certified installers will be demonstrating vehicle wrap graphic installation techniques simultaneously on nine different vehicles during each demonstration. At the conclusion of the demonstration time, registered participants will have the unique opportunity to install and evaluate that manufacturer’s printed and laminated wrap graphics on one of eleven vehicles provided. Each participant will be eligible to attend one demonstration / tryout for each of the five sponsors.
“This is a unique opportunity to try out five of the top vehicle wrapping films, learn new techniques and pick up a few tips and tricks from the PDAA’s top vehicle wrap experts,” said WrapQuest Chairman and creator Rob Ivers. “With tremendous support from PDAA Members, SGIA and the vinyl manufacturers, plus having SGIA ‘08 and WrapQuest together under one roof, you can see why this year’s slogan is “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet”.
New to WrapQuest this year will be two lecture style seminars as well: Designing Vehicle Wraps that Work! taught by Rob Ivers and New Trends in Vinyl Graphic Installations hosted by Kim Magraw with a panel of four industry experts. These sessions are free for WrapQuest participants, but are also available to other SGIA attendees through their seminar curriculum for a small fee.
As an added bonus, PDAA will be conducting the world’s first WrapQuest Speed Championship. All SGIA attendees are welcome to watch the short exhibitions each day during lunch as the PDAA demonstrators compete in the WrapQuest Speed Championship. The finals will be held Saturday, October 18, 2008 from 9 am until noon in the PDAA WrapQuest exhibition area in the lobby. Judging will be conducted by representatives of digital printing equipment manufacturers. Contrary to the name, contestants will be judged on quality as well as speed. The winners will be announced following the finals on Saturday.
The cost to attend WrapQuest is $200 per person. Companies that join the PDAA in 2008 (General Member dues are $200 for 2008), prior to September 1 receive one FREE pass to WrapQuest ’08. Registration is limited to three hundred participants, so visit www.pdaa.com and sign up today!
