GoVision Takes Mobile Video to the Extreme: “GoBigger” Unit Not Just World’s Largest It’s HD, Too!
KELLER, TEXAS - That rumble you just felt under your feet was the shifting of the mobile video industry landscape.
GoVision (www.jumbo.tv), a leading provider of larger-than-life LED video walls and mobile units, unveiled the world’s largest mobile video screen this weekend at the Fair St. Louis 4th of July festival in St. Louis, MO. The truck-mounted super screen boasting a massive 19’ x 33’ widescreen configuration also features spectacular High-Definition resolution, instantly catapulting it to the top of the industry pecking order for quality and size.
“GoBigger sets a new standard in the mobile video industry,” said Chris Curtis, CEO of GoVision. “By rolling out the first mobile, true High-Definition LED screen, GoVision is making this popular technology available to all rental markets for the first time. We’re combining sheer size with high resolution and superior pixel count to produce the highest-quality experience available in the outdoor LED marketplace.”
The GoBigger screen was produced by South Dakota-based Daktronics, and mounted in a specially equipped 18-wheel tractor-trailer by Craftsmen Industries of St. Charles, MO.
“This screen is truly a game-changing piece of equipment,” said Jay deBlonk, Daktronics Mobile and Modular Product Manager. “The HD-16 LED technology and high definition processing offer the most advanced daylight-visible resolution on the market today, while the sheer size of the video display is simply overwhelming.”
“The world’s largest LED video screen deserves a world-class ride, and that’s what we created for the GoBigger unit,” said Joe Helmsing, Craftsmen Industries CEO. “Not only did we equip the trailer with a state-of-the-art production studio, but through our design and engineering we made this trailer truly best-in-class.”
GoBigger has already been booked for several major events, including Seafair 2008 in Seattle, August 1-3, and San Jose State football games beginning in September.
“GoBigger is really in a class by itself,” said Curtis. “Events looking for bragging rights, and those simply wanting to deliver the most impressive experience for their spectators, are contacting us daily to book the unit.”
This isn’t the first time GoVision has pioneered new technology to the industry. In 2002, the company introduced the first mobile wide screen to the market.
GoBigger is ideal for any event where large crowds would benefit from a better view of the action. Major sporting events from NASCAR and thoroughbred races to golf tournaments and football games are logical venues. Outdoor festivals, concerts, air and auto shows, promotional tours and mega-church events are also ideal showcases for GoBigger.
Many savvy GoVision clients have even turned the screens into money-makers, selling advertising space on the trailers and around the videos.
“Our screens are no longer an expense item for most events,” explains Brady Haass, GoVision’s director of sales. “Advertisers and event sponsors often pay handsomely for the right to promote their brands on the units and integrate their commercials into the video.”
In addition to the groundbreaking new GoBigger unit, the company’s product line includes multiple 9’ x 16’ GoBig mobile LEDs with full production capabilities, and its smaller, lightweight 9’ x 12’ GoTron LED unit perfect for local events with limited budgets. The company also offers a wide array of custom-built, modular LED screens and video walls, which provide optimal flexibility and seamless pictures for any event.
