Gemini Incorporated Receives SHARP Award

Decorah, IA —A recognition ceremony was held recently for Gemini Incorporated’s Decorah, Iowa manufacturing facilities to present the Safety and Health Recognition Program (SHARP) Award. The company was awarded SHARP status on September 31, 2008 by Iowa OSHA Consultation.

This program recognizes employers who operate an exemplary safety and health management system. Acceptance into SHARP by OSHA singles an employer out as a model for worksite safety and health.

According to Jet Tran, Gemini’s Safety and Environmental Officer, the credits goes to employees and the commitment they have demonstrated toward safety for achieving the award. “We believe safety is our responsibility both in and out of the plants, and we’re continually looking for ways to improve,” Tran said. “We are very appreciative of the support and assistance by the people at Iowa OSHA. The input and resources they have provided us with have helped Gemini develop an effective and comprehensive safety program.”
