Sign Biz, Inc., launches new class of Associate Membership
DANA POINT, CA Sign Biz ® Inc., the world’s largest chain of non-franchise digital sign companies, announced today that it expects to add, or sign agreements of affiliation for, more than 35 new members in 2009, a record for the brand.
“Sign Biz is a model of operations on the move throughout the world,” said Teresa M. Young, president and CEO. “Our growth is driven by the brand’s approach to quality and our price/value services to members. I am delighted to be able to launch a conversion shop program as an extension of our vision. In discussions with our Sign Biz Advisory Board, the vision for this digital sign and graphics chain is as an inclusive network that extends far beyond the power of start-up operations. Allowing conversions is a way of recognizing the achievements of many professionals who work hard to create successful sustainable digital sign companies.”
Sign Biz is a full-service provider of business development programs and a turnkey package for start-up digital sign and graphic companies, with nearly 200 locations worldwide. With the lowest fees, and no royalties, the chain has become the largest non-franchise network of digital sign companies. In addition, the membership contract is “evergreen” there are no renewal fees or expiration dates. To protect existing members’ proximity, Sign Biz enforces a strict policy that establishes a protected radius around existing member sites, as well as provided extra protection by business count and zip code.
“Our strength as a brand is that our shops are not ‘cookie-cutter’ designs, where every interior looks alike. Plans call for approximately 35 percent of the Sign Biz members added to the system in 2009 in North America to be new enterprises with the remainder being conversions of existing shops. “We have introduced new, effective business models with flexible equipment options to assist our member/owners,” said Young. The Sign Biz Associate Membership is awarded after payment of a one-time fee, and review of the applicant’s business achievement and professional experience in the digital sign industry.
