PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 8, 2009

Diversify your business at Trophex 2010

The show will take place from 17th to 18th January 2010 at the NEC Pavilion in Birmingham, UK

Attending the Trophex exhibition is always an important way to start the year if you are in the trophy, awards and engraving industry. It is used by an increasing number of companies outside of the immediate remit to access a new and exciting potential client base. Trophex is always a very popular show for both visitors and exhibitors alike and 2009 was no exception.

Representing the trophy industry at Trophex 2009 was Trend International who were showing their latest range of products. Another of the major UK players for trophies is Glenway and they were there in force with one of the biggest stands of the show. First time exhibitors Charles Birch received a very positive reaction at the launch of their new trophy range. Win Five exhibited after they had a very successful Euro Trophex exhibition last year, based in Malaysia, they are designers and suppliers of trophy components and they received a great response from visitors at the show. At Trophex visitors can see all different sizes, shapes and designs of trophies and awards - there is definitely something for everyone! Crisp Design of Winslow were showing pieces from their Corporate Achievements Awards catalogue; these could easily be mistaken for pieces of art. Many are hand painted and made from stainless steal and glass and are refreshingly different.

Other sectors of the industry also represented at the 2009 show included embroidery. Amaya UK and Your Embroidery Services Ltd were both showing small footprint embroidery machines from Amaya and SWF as well as direct to product ink jet printing machines. This industry has seen big changes in its short history and both companies were showing new developments. Amaya had the Freejet 700 loaded with hard surface inks on display and YES Ltd was showing the DTG HM1 model fitted with the latest WIMS (White Ink Management System).

TheMagicTouch always exhibit at Trophex and this year they had another great show. They were showing the amazing WOW system which delivers outstanding quality prints even onto coloured shirts.

As always Trophex is very well attended and Sunday especially saw a vast number of trophy retailers visit the show. Martin Lakin from Timbertown Trophies in Woodville near Burton-on-Trent has only missed one Trophex in the last 10 years. He regularly visits the show to see the new range of products that are coming out. The show is also a great opportunity to find new areas to expand his business into, 70% of which is in motor racing, so he combines his visit to Trophex with a visit to the Autosport International exhibition which takes place at the NEC Birmingham at the same time. Gary Owen from Queensferry Sports in Flintshire visits Trophex every year, on the show he says: "It is very important for the industry to have the annual Trophex exhibition; it is the only place to see new products and ideas and to keep up-to-date with the current trends in the trophy industry." First time visitor Liam McElroy from Mc Elroy Awards and Signage in Ireland thought that Trophex was a great show and better than he expected! He saw good demonstrations and found products which he didn't know existed, he was very excited about these as they will make excellent add-ons to his business. He thought the exhibition was a nice size and easy to get around in a day, the show was easy for him to get to and the exhibitors were really helpful, so he left the show a very happy man.

So after the huge success of Trophex 2009, it’s now time to think about Trophex 2010!
