Gerber Scientific Products Offers New Bar Code Printing, Other Label and Decal Enhancements with OMEGA™ 3.0 Upgrade

The bar code generator includes dozens of one- and two-dimensional bar codes symbologies, and has been integrated into existing variable data capabilities already in OMEGA.

OMEGA 3.0 includes new procedures to allow for the creation of back-cut die-cut simulated, ready-to-apply decals, eliminating the need for manual slicing and other labor-intense finishing techniques. Another new OMEGA 3.0 feature allows the user to integrate multiple speed and weight settings into a single output job when cutting labels and decals which saves time and labor when producing multiple weight kiss cuts. OMEGA 3.0 also offers a new REGFIXER tool to improve color-to-color registration, as well as providing improved choke-spread capability.

Additionally, the new ReAction feature is one of the most exciting tools in the OMEGA 3.0 upgrade. It is a simple-to-use but very powerful new set of Composer capabilities that maintain the smart-edit, color and shape edit relationships as functions are created in sequence.
