Watchfire Signs Announces Winner of Truck Wrap Design Contest

DANVILLE, Ill. – Zach Bingman of Burton Signworks, Mt. Airy, N.C., created the winning design for Watchfire Signs’ first truck wrap design contest. Bingman was awarded $1,000 for his design during a presentation at the International Sign Expo in Las Vegas on April 28.

The winning design was applied to one of Watchfire Signs’ demo trucks and unveiled at the International Sign Expo.

“Good design is crucial to the success of digital signs, so we thought a truck wrap contest would give our customers the opportunity to show off their skills,” said Randy Crothers, vice president of sales and marketing at Watchfire Signs. “We were impressed by the talent exhibited by the contest participants, especially our three finalists.” Seventeen designers entered the competition, including Bingman and finalists Logan Beckwith of Fritz Advertising, Spring Arbor, Mich., and Holly Friedman of Nagle Signs Inc., Waterloo, Iowa.

Rules for the design included: coordinates well with Watchfire Signs’ current look, clearly communicates what Watchfire does, and peaks the curiosity of those viewing the truck.

“We are so proud of Zach,” said Richard Banten Jr., vice president, sales and marketing, at Burton Signworks Inc. “The graphics and designs he produces for Burton Signworks Inc. customers are always top-notch.”
