Diversify your business at Trophex 2012

Trophex 2012 will take place from 15th to 16th January 2012 at the NEC Pavilion in Birmingham, UK

Trophex is always a popular show for the industry and the 2011 exhibition was no exception. It is the only major UK show which is devoted to the trophy, awards and engraving industry and boasts a vast array of regular and new exhibitors every year. When reflecting on the 2011 show, Mike Lewis from Hybrid said: “Trophex was inspiring; it’s fantastic to have a presence here.”

Regular exhibitor Trendsetting Awards also had a great show with a brand new stand which was much larger than previous shows. The luxury of having a specific seating and sales area and the opportunity to show more of their products worked very well, attracting lots of new business. “I was pleased with the business we accumulated over the two days and extremely pleased with the reaction both to our new 2011 catalogue and our new show stand. Trophex for Trendsetting Awards certainly in the last two years has proven to be worth every penny. All in all a fantastic trade show” said John-Paul Cowan, Managing Director.

This years Trophex exhibition proved to be extremely successful for Nova Chrome UK, as higher than anticipated visitor numbers and a range of new trophy related products generated a great deal of interest over the course of the two day event. Said Ian McDowall Technical Support: “The increased interest in sublimation, Nova Chrome's focus on support and aftercare and their extensive range of products has resulted in many new customers from the show - many of whom are upgrading from their current equipment as a result of seeing the quality whilst visiting the stand.”

Jeremy Lowes from Crystal Galleries was "extremely impressed with the quantity and quality of visitors at this years show.” Jeremy added: "We received a far higher number of orders from customers looking to start up in glass engraving and take advantage of our 28 years experience in the industry. We have been selling our sandblasting cabinets for over 18 years and many of the original cabinets are still operating to the same high standard as when they were first installed." Jeremy continued: “In addition to this we had an unprecedented response to the APM RapidMask film for which we are sole UK distributors. We had an excellent reaction to our new 80 page catalogue, featuring the most comprehensive range of glass and crystal gifts and awards in Europe. Every product that we had on display at the show was new to the range and covered every category from tableware, bowls and vases to desktop gifts and awards”.

New to Trophex 2011 were the Trophex Awards. We were extremely pleased with the fantastic response that the awards created from both the voters and entries alike. With a total of seven categories, exhibitors battled it out to be one of the seven lucky winners of the awards. Samples of each entry were displayed on the TEN stand at the show, attracting and encouraging visitors to vote for their favourite products. Winners included TheMagicTouch who won the ‘Best in New Technology’ award for the OED 8.1 (Opaque Reverse Decoration) transfer paper which offers the opportunity to quickly and easily decorate a comprehensive range of glass and acrylic based products in full colour. Glenway Products Ltd won the ‘Best Resin Product’ – a sentinel footballer designed by their in-house team in Leicester and the Charles Birch (Group) Ltd won the award for the ‘Best Decorated Item’ for their sandblasted crystal plate which was based on an image from Lord of the Rings and sand carved onto a crystal 10” plate from the Charles Birch gift range. Crystal Galleries generously sponsored and provided the awards. The awards will take place again at Trophex 2012 so watch this space for further details!
