PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Dec.16th, 2015

GCI Digital Imaging (Grand Format Banner Printing Company) produced and installed big banners for another History Making Event. To Commemorate the event GCI produced and gave away 1000 souvenir Dirt Midget Monster Stickers at the race and the PRI Trade Show at The Indiana Convention Center.

INDIANAPOLIS – The first indoor Dirt Midget and Outlaw Kart Races allows GCI to shine once again.

In spite of a 2am install and a variety of other obstacles GCI delivers once again. This event was the first Dirt Midget and Outlaw Kart races held indoors at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Saturday, December 12th, 2015. GCI produced and installed banners up to 20’x120’ in size. GCI once again went above and beyond the call of duty. The staff burned the midnight oil to install. “I remember getting to Indy at about 1:30 am and completing the install at about 5am. That left another salesman and myself enough time for about 3 hours of sleep before we had to be up and ready to work the PRI show, get something to eat and get over to the Fieldhouse to get document pics of the BAD BOY invitational banners we installed early that morning.” (GCI staff member)

“Security was pretty tight at the Fieldhouse but once we got into the show it was inspiring to see our banners almost appear to take center stage for the event.”

“The entire job, installation and trip was worth it! It was amazing to be part of an historic racing event while seeing the banners we produced take center stage. Our strategy to create and distribute 1000 Krazy Dirt Midget Monster stickers as a promotional tool turned out to be a hit at the PRI tradeshow and the Bad Boy Invitational as well. It was the perfect marriage of over-the-top graphics and an equally over-the-top event. We really feel we were destined to be a big part of racing promotional events.” TJ Bedacht, President GCI Digital Imaging

The 1000 free limited edition Dirt Midget, commemorative monster stickers were distributed on a first come first served basis. To commemorate this historic racing event GCI’s custom art department paid homage to Southern California’s hot-rod craze art style during the late 50’s and 60’s. The GCI staff artist said he has always been inspired by a love for fast car’s and the krazy kritters who drove them!

“We’re perfect for GRAND Format banner printing for the racing industry because printing and racing has always been in our blood for generations. I’ve been a drag racer, cross country racer and my young son is an avid racer as well. Regardless, our attitude is go big or not at all. We do whatever it takes to cross the finish line with the checkered flag!” TJ Bedacht

In as early as October GCI’s install crew had to battle the aftermath of Hurricane Joaquin at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte North Carolina. The crew had to battle high winds, rain and hazardous outdoor weather conditions. We’re gaining a reputation as the “special forces” of grand format banner printing.
