PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 31, 2016

Awning Lettering for D.I.Y customers

LetterBank announces two new products now available, for lettering on most fabric awnings. The rst product, DuraStik Awning System* is for lettering onto “blank” awnings, and the second product, DuraStik MASK* is designed to cover over lettered awnings with new lettering.
(* tm pending)

The fabric letters are cut and available pre-spaced and ready to apply, and have a very aggressive acrylic adhesive. The lettering is made of a combination of polyester and some nylon. The fabric is UV treated to last a long time in direct sunlight, and is weather-resistant, having been tested in snow, ice and extreme heat.

The letters can be cut in one of 20 available styles, in almost any size required. Almost any style is available from your vector file.

Colors of fabric letters available are white, black, red, blue and green. LetterBank can also digitally print vinyl to attach to the fabric backing, then contour cut it as required, for jobs demanding full color logos.

How it works:
The pre-aligned, spaced letters are applied like almost any vinyl lettering might be applied, although with the aggressive adhesive, some extra patience is required to remove the backing. Burnishing into the fabric awning or canopy is recommended to make sure of a firm attachment. The adhesive sets up fully in three average warm days.

The letters can be ordered and sold to the customer, or the customer can order the letters directly online.

Bulk material for cutting on your own plotter is also available, in rolls 15”, 30” and 54” widths. The 15” material is available by the running foot as well.

Do the letters stick to every awning?
We have reports that there have been adhesion issues with certain Sunbrella™ fabrics coated with silicone or another stain-resistant finish, which may keep the letters from adhering properly. A test is recommended prior to purchase.

More about our second new product the LetterBank MASK:
The cut fabric lettering is provided on a contrasting color fabric background, so that the existing awning name is covered and new lettering applied in one step. This newest offering from LetterBank also allows customers with a more modest aptitude for installation, to apply their product in lone piece instead of as individual letters, which may be a good selling proposition for those wanting to add LetterBank’s products to their own offerings.
