TIPS & TRICKS

We just installed one of the new UL2161 Secondary Ground Fault Protected transformers and it will not light. What gives?

If this is a new install there are a couple of possible solutions that can easily be checked. First, make sure that you have wired the primary correctly. Pay particular attention to the polarity. If these wires are reversed, the transformer will not operate. Second, make sure the transformer is grounded properly. The transformer must be grounded to a true ground. If not grounded properly, the transformer will not operate. If neither of these solves the problem, refer to the instruction sheet provided with the transformer for more in-depth troubleshooting.
